We’ve been cleaning house and consolidating some workholding inventory. And you can benefit from our spring cleaning! Prices are very attractive. But, once the inventory is gone, the sale price goes away, so act quickly.

This doesn’t mean that we’re not going to make these products anymore, we will continue to offer our large variety of workholding products for all types of machines. It just means that demands have changed and our inventory needs to be adjusted.

Hardinge Indexer Control has Infrared Capabilities

In a shop environment, interfacing a laptop or desktop computer to any type of machine control can be affected by airborne or residual contamination. To alleviate this concern, the Hardinge all-digital Servo Control is equipped with a unique feature of infrared communication, which has a lot of similarity to the system used with TV remove controls. Infrared communication does not use wires, cables, or connectors. The infrared send/receive unit is located conveniently on the front panel of the servo control just above the Zero Return button.

To utilize the infrared feature, the customer must have a pocket PC (handheld computer or such) that operates with Windows-based software and has infrared capabilities. The complete setup of the system will require software to be installed on the customer’s pocket PC unit. This software is provided on a CD that is included with every new Hardinge Indexer system shipped with a Servo Control. The software is called Hardinge Infralink and will allow the user to send and receive programs from the customer’s pocket PC to the Hardinge Servo Controller.
